In a world of fast fashion I want to create slow and meaningful jewellery for people to love and wear for years to come. My love and care of the environment is a core principle within my life, and wherever possible I try to make personal and business choices that reflect this. Where possible and it aligns with quality, I make use of recycled materials, tools or packaging. I source all of my raw materials from reputable sources that comply with strict auditing. I believe in conscious purchasing and choosing quality over quantity, advocating for change and more transparency within the industry.
I work from a small home studio on the east coast of Ireland. All of the jewellery in my collection has been designed and handmade by me and in order to recreate these designs I use a technique called casting. I create a master pattern from which a mould is made and I am able to create the piece multiple times and in a variety of metals. Each piece is then hand finished by me using a combination of finishing techniques in my workshop.

My bespoke designs are created using a combination of traditional goldsmith skills, wax carving and CAD (computer aided design). Each commission is different and the processes will depend on a number of things such as the choice of materials, budget, and design. For certain specialist processes such as engraving, I outsource to highly skilled workshops and individuals in Ireland.

Everything is hallmarked in the Dublin Assay Office with my makers mark 'LS'.
You can order designs from my Ancient Islands collection in 925 sterling silver directly on the website, and if you would like a quote for a different metal or with alternative gemstones you can get in touch with me directly here.

I have a ring and bangle sizing guide here which will give you measurements as a guide.

Knowing what size ring you need to order can be tricky and the best way to know for sure is to pop into a local jeweller and ask them to measure your finger for you. If the ring is intended for someone as a surprise it can get a little more challenging but if you can borrow one of their rings for a jeweller to measure, that will be the best way of getting an accurate size.

Most of my jewellery is made to order and therefore made for you in your size. However, of course if the ring does not fit when you receive it, please get in touch here to discuss resizing. There may be an additional charge to cover the postage of items.

Jewellery will naturally pick up scratches and tarnish over time when it comes into contact with everyday life. Gemstones and pearls by nature differ in their durability and some stones can withstand things that others can't.There are a few things you can do at home to ensure they stay looking their best for a long time.

Wearing : Your jewellery should be worn and loved, but there are a few times when its advisable to take it off. It is best to remove your jewellery when cleaning, swimming or bathing, and try to avoid harsh chemicals, cleaning products, perfumes or make-up. Do wear your pearls often, they will come to life against your skin.

Storage : When you aren't wearing your jewellery its best to store it in a soft pouch or the box it came in. Pearls in particular should be kept in something breathable to retain their lustrous shine.

Cleaning : You can do a good job of cleaning most of your jewellery at home using warm soapy water, an old toothbrush and a soft polishing cloth. If your piece has gemstones make sure you clean inside a bowl incase any stones have become loose and dislodge in the cleaning process. On items where there are pearls it is best just to use a polishing cloth.

To read more about the durability and harness of gemstones you can take a look here.

I offer a cleaning service on items of jewellery that have been purchased from me. Depending on the item I will use a mix of jewellery files, emery paper and polishing compound, before cleaning it in the ultrasonic or by hand. This service may not remove all signs of wear, especially if there are deep dents or scratches in the piece.

During this process all settings will be checked for damage to ensure the safe wear and security of your gemstones. Customers are offered a complementary clean and polish within the first 12 months, after which there will be a small charge of £25.
