Louisa is an Irish jewellery designer and metalsmith based on the east coast of Ireland.

She started working in the jewellery and gem trade in 2013 and over the past decade has worked in various roles across London, Sri Lanka and Ireland. She is now focused on building her own independent business; designing and making jewellery where material and meaning merge together.

From her workshop on the Ards Peninsula she creates jewellery full of symbolism and inspired by her love of ancient jewellery and the natural world. Her first collection Ancient Islands explores time spent working in the gem industry in Sri Lanka alongside her Irish heritage.

In addition to her own designs, Louisa works with a small number of private customers to create one-off bespoke commissions which are hugely personal and tailored to each individual. Commissions are currently closed for a period of creative exploration and self reflection to make way for new work.

Above everything, Louisa values the process of creating something with mind, heart and hands. Her work appreciates the importance for quality materials and timeless appreciation. This is slow craft as opposed to fast fashion. Art created with intention.
